Preserve a Cherished Riverside Landmark
Contribute to the Repair of the Garden Club of Jacksonville Fence & Bulkhead
Restore and Secure the Riverfront
Dear Circle Members, Friends Members and Sponsors,
For over a century, the Garden Club of Jacksonville has stood proudly along the St. Johns River, serving as a gathering place for learning, circle and local events, and preserving natural beauty. Our historic campus has hosted generations of gardeners, students, and families who have come together to nurture both nature and neighbor.
Today, this cherished landmark needs our help.
The fence and bulkhead that protect our riverfront are in urgent need of repair. Years of wear, storms and high tides have taken their toll. Without these essential structures, we risk not only the safety and beauty of our grounds, but also the preservation of one of Jacksonville’s most historic landmarks.
The estimated cost for these critical repairs is $52,000.
We’re launching the Fall/ Winter 2025 Fundraising Campaign, which will run from December 2 through January 2, to restore and secure the riverfront so it can be enjoyed for generations to come. Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to safeguarding the Garden Club’s legacy and the natural beauty that defines it. Any funds received beyond the amount required to repair the fence and bulkhead will be allocated to additional essential repairs and ongoing maintenance of our buildings and grounds.
Please consider making a tax-deductible gift today. Any amount helps, but if you donate at the following higher level amounts you will receive the benefits of our Patron level membership:- Perennial $250
- Topiary $500
- Evergreen $1,000
- Heirloom $5,000
Your generosity will help ensure that the Garden Club of Jacksonville continues to flourish as a place of inspiration, education, and community connection.
Together, we can preserve the beauty that has inspired so many.
With gratitude,
Sonja Jones
