2025 Native Plants Summit

The Garden Club of Jacksonville and Florida Native Plant Society Ixia Chapter proudly present the 2025 Native Plants Summit to highlight the critical role native plants play in building a sustainable habitat for wildlife to thrive and a healthier environment for every living being.

Lily Anderson-Messec, Director of North Florida Programs for the Florida Native Plant Society, will be giving a special presentation during this program:

Your Yard Matters

The decisions you make to add or remove plants from your yard have reverberating effects on the health of Florida's ecosystems, as well as the plants, animals, and humans that reside here. Learn more about the importance of choosing native plants for your yard, why invasive plants threaten our wildlife and human health, and how shifting our perspective of the role of a "yard" is critical to the survival of Florida's biodiversity.

Program schedule:

• 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Native Plant Vendors and Reception provided by The Farmery and cash bar
• 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Presentation and Q&A -Your Yard Matters: Planting For Wildlife and Humanity
• 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Vendors

The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required so the Garden Club knows how many chairs to provide. We appreciate your help!
