Horticulture Corner: X-Mas Plant Care

Maintain the health and beauty of your seasonal plants long after the holiday season concludes. The Garden Club of Jacksonville invites you to attend Horticulture Corner: X-Mas Plants Care, an educational workshop designed to teach practical cultivation, maintenance, and propagation techniques for popular winter flora.

Whether caring for a gifted plant or working to achieve reliable annual reblooms, participants will gain valuable insight into everyday care and ideal indoor environmental conditions.

Core Focus Areas:

• Amaryllis: Demonstrating proper care routines and live bulb propagation.
• Holiday Cacti: Identifying differences between Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter varieties, along with methods for triggering bloom cycles.
• Poinsettias & Cyclamens: Managing critical light, moisture, and temperature requirements to preserve vibrant colors.

Featured Presenter: The session will be led by Sam Runyun (B.A., M.A.), President of the Garden Club of Jacksonville, certified Master Gardener, and accredited NGC Consultant. Ms. Runyun brings extensive experience from her leadership roles with the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs Board of Directors, Wildflower Circle, Garden Club of Fleming Island, and Garden Club of St. Augustine.

All attendees will receive live propagation materials and printed reference guides to assist with continued plant care at home.
