About Laura Dowling

As Chief Floral Designer of the White House from 2009-2015, Laura managed White House floral design for thousands of official and private events, including state dinners, parties, receptions and large scale installations such as the Fourth of July and the iconic White House Christmas. Working alongside the First Lady and a dedicated team of volunteers, she crafted designs that honored tradition, elevated American artistry, and highlighted the architectural beauty of our nation’s most historic home.

About Designer of Distinction

The Designer of Distinction is an annual fundraising event that presents an expert in the field of floral design demonstrating and discussing her work. There will be a special Cocktail Reception & Book Signing on January 28th. The January 29th presentation will be followed by a raffle of her arrangements and a three-course catered lunch.

Cocktail Reception & Book Signing: January 28th, 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Presentation & Luncheon: January 29th, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
